Welcome to the first issue of the Polo Grill and Bar newsletter.  Our new Polo Grill family is so excited to be part of the wonderful Lakewood Ranch community. We are open for lunch Monday-Saturday, a la carte lunch/brunch on Sundays, and 7 nights for dinner in the main and private dining rooms. The Polo Bar is open all day & into late night, and features hi-def 96" projection for all of your special programming and sports-viewing needs. You can make reservations on-line at www.pologrillandbar.com, or by calling 941-782-0899. Of course, we will always welcome you without a reservation. We also have entertainment and events at Polo Grill for everyone to enjoy. Our weekly events & specials are entertaining, fun, and social. And for those of you living outside of Lakewood Ranch - come anyway - it really isn't very far, and it's worth the drive!

Grand Opening ribboncutting

 

In what could be the largest event ever to hit Lakewood Ranch,

January 22nd's Grand Opening celebration of our new Polo Grill & Bar and Fete Catering & Ballroom

was a smash. No detail was overlooked, so every aspect of the thrilling evening was a success - fabulous food samplings from our all-new menu, friendly efficient service, sensational entertainment, creative décor.  The entire place rocked with vibrant energy. The spacious Restaurant and Ballroom easily accommodated a thousand or so enthusiastic attendees from Lakewood Ranch and surrounding areas. Everyone gave us a warm welcome, having long awaited a place of this caliber and style to be part of the Lakewood Ranch Community. The event produced five thousand dollars for the Lakewood Ranch Community Fund, including the generosity of our stellar staff who donated their evening's tips to the organization.

 

Local businesses showed their support for the Polo Grill and the Community Fund by contributing their efforts and wares.  No secret who the area's next great party planners will be - in fact the dynamism of our Fete Catering team and Lee Younger, of Pineapple House Collection, along with his team who decorated the ballroom with unique flair, tastefully demonstrated the scope of celebratory possibilities at the expansive facility. US Tent Rentals also helped out with a multitude of last-minute needs as the attendance numbers continued to rise. Katt Hefner soulfully belted out some jazzy tunes earlier in the evening to get the mood started, and as always, Jerome Dean, Polo Grill's popular Friday Night crooner, delighted guests with his swinging sounds. Then the party further grooved when Polo Grill's Saturday Night "Club Polo" Dee-Jay, Al "Go-Go" Garcia of Jay Goodley Entertainment got hundreds on their feet dancing for hours. Also of note was the

Makers Mark "7th Chukker" specialty cocktail bar, the Grey Goose ice slide, fine wines and open bars, all contributing to the bleary-eyed population all over town the next morning.

 

All of us at the Polo Grill and Bar hope to bring continued excitement and fun to add to the already wonderful Lakewood Ranch lifestyle.

Wine Cellar

 

You don't want to miss this unique opportunity at the Polo Grill and Bar.  You can have your own wine cellar with your favorite wine at your favorite restaurant!  This is an exclusive opportunity to have your "home away from home" wine cellar to enjoy your preferred wines at any time and show off your special labels.  This is perfect for entertaining guests or clients, or if you like, we can send a bottle of your fine wine to a party dining at the restaurant.  Your climate controlled cellar will have your name on an engraved plaque and holds two cases.  There is also secure access.  There is limited space available so reserve your cellar today!  The cost is $200 per year and $15 corkage fee per bottle.
